Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 2026Welcome to BiologySolver.com. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the website BiologySolver.com and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
1. Information We Collect
Because BiologySolver.com is designed to be a frictionless, “no-signup” educational tool, we collect minimal personal data. However, to provide our AI services, we do collect the following:
- User Inputs & Uploads: When you use our solver, we process the text you type (e.g., genetics questions) and the images you upload (e.g., blank cell diagrams). This data is sent to our AI processing partners (such as OpenAI/Anthropic APIs) solely to generate the educational answer.
- Usage Data: We automatically collect information about your interaction with our site, including IP addresses, browser types, referring pages, and the pages you view on our site. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how students use our tools.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect strictly to operate and improve our services:
- To provide the AI diagram labeling and homework solving features you request.
- To improve the accuracy of our biological OCR and AI models (all uploaded diagrams are anonymized before being used for any performance analysis).
- To monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our website to improve user experience.
3. Image Processing and Storage
We understand that you may be uploading photos of your homework or textbook pages. We do not permanently store your uploaded images. Images are temporarily held in server memory just long enough to process the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and label the diagram, after which they are automatically discarded. We do not sell, rent, or share your educational documents with third parties.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top.
